| 246115 | 2004-06-20 00:20:00 | Two problems. My dial up connection box keeps popping up all the time, particulary when I start the computer. No matter how many times I cancel it . it always returns..The dialogue box " cannot start backweb, BW files DLL not found of installed" comes up every time I start the computer. How do I deal with these please. Thanks Eddie parker |

| 246116 | 2004-06-20 00:34:00 | Hi Ed There is an FAQ here that deals with these issues, but for a fast fix download Adaware or Spybot (preferably both) and run them. Either of these will ferret out Backweb and remove it. Installing ZoneAlarm will stop programs like backweb from dialling out but if you want to use it, don't insytall the latest version, it is undergoing remedial therapy at present for antisocial behaviour and the ZA site should allow you to download the earlier version which has better manners! Any or all of these programs can be found in two ticks via a Google search. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
