| 246164 | 2004-06-19 10:50:00 | When running System Restore, does it affect the data files, e.g. Word documents, emails, etc? Does it restore everything in the computer to the earlier date or just the Windows system files? Before running System Restore, is it necessary to backup the data files and emails, etc? Cheers |

| 246165 | 2004-06-19 11:04:00 | In MY experience, after having to resort to a system restore after messing something up completely (all self imposed), it left data files (docs, mp3's, emails, downloaded programs etc) alone, and just restored system files/drivers etc. The last system restore point was a few days earlier and I had some documents and emails I was afraid would go, but they didn't :) Since then I have used system restore plenty of times!
