On startup W XP, I am greeted with an error message icq.exe - unable to locate component and in the box: "This application failed to start because ICQCore.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I had no idea what ICQ was, but it seems to be an instant messaging programme. I don't want it so I tried to delete it using W XP home Add/Delete programme. It asks how I would like to delete the programme whirrs a bit and then nothing happens. The error still remains and so it seems does the programme. How can I get rid of it? Where does it live?! All help appreciated. Many thanks. |
