I have recently upgraded my system to Windows XP and cant get scanner to run. It always calls for a stiaspi.dll file. I have downloaded such from the internet but cant figure where to go from here. Any help appreciated |

You give no information on what make and scanner is involved, so detailed help is difficult.
Would suggest that you copy the dll file to the Windows/system32 folder however as a possible cure. |

Thanks for response Godfather. Appreciate it. Is a Vuego 4300u. It also had an intermittent fault when it would not connect with the computer. When it did, it asked for the driver. I know the scanner was not at fault for dll because a friends scanner did same. Anyway tried what you said but then the Scanner would not talk to the computer and two servicemen have since pronounced it "dead" - or not worthwhile fixing. |
