246914 2004-06-22 23:49:00 I have recently installed XP on a PC that had 98 on it. Initially it looked like XP would not let me install as an upgrade but eventually it did. At startup I get an option of which OS I would like which defaults to XP after 20 secs. For space reasons I would now like to uninstall 98 but can't find any obvious way of doing this and have searched, quickly and unsuccessfully, through the many PressF1 posting for the answer.

Do any of you PF1 gurus have what is probably a very simple answer?

246915 2004-06-23 01:38:00 I kinda doubt that W98 is still in your system, taking up space, as it was an upgrade, not a full new install.

Do you have multiple partitions? If not then it's impossible to have both operating systems on the same drive in same partition.

I can't comment on why you're getting the option on which one to select... it may be a bios thing, or a setting in XP's Management that you may have to investigate - under Administration Tools

pps - knowledgeable sources say that Macs' salads have more fat than even their burgers! (it's all in their dressings!)
