246917 2004-06-23 02:11:00 A friend has some files on a Iomega usb zip100 drive, they have been created with Claris Works 5.0 using the word processor app running on Mac o/s 8.6.
When connected to her pc, win98 just wants to format the zip disk as it can´t see the Mac files.
Is there a way of reading or converting them to use on her pc??.
I have pc´s with Xp, win98 and Linux to use, if there is a way.
Cheers.

You have to make sure that the zip disk is formatted for windows before you put any files from a mac computer on them, that is the only way I know off that you can read the files on the pc from the mac

** I just wish MS would make a program that would allow you to view files from a mac formatted disk **

Otherwise if the disc is formatted in plain old FAT then both mac and windows can read it.
