247103 2004-06-23 10:14:00 I have a problem with my Mouse.
I have brought a new wheel mouse (A4 Tech - wheel mouse). once installed it work fine for a bit and after a day or so it played up.
I lost the driver. I have now put a Serial mouse onto my computer and it works ok. However I want to use the new mouse. (its connection is the small green round plug type), But every time I put it onto the computer I loose the drivers and can't use it.
Any Ideas????????

247104 2004-06-23 10:18:00 usually drivers are not required.

what OS and what sort of pc do you have? you may have a dying ps2 port.

247105 2004-06-23 20:06:00 Its running XP. Yeah I think you may be right. Do you think it may need a new main board? It runs great with the serial port mouse. willie65 (5577)
247106 2004-06-23 22:53:00 Try one of these (www.dse.co.nz), a bit cheaper than a mobo. Rob99 (151)
247107 2004-06-23 23:46:00 I have one these and works fine for me but I would ask one question,
are you using a usb to ps2 adaptor that comes with it ? if so take the adaptor off and plug themouse into the usb port on your pc. These usb to ps2 adaptors somtimes cause problems. If you do this your pc should redect it on bootup.

247109 2004-06-24 01:50:00 It is a ps2 connection not USB. I might try Rob99 s idea I think. willie65 (5577)
