247494 2004-06-25 02:45:00 From an advertisement in the Whakatane Beacon.

Local PC reseller warehouse computers has bought the remains of all liquedated stock of the PC Company this includes the trading name and the Hamilton based assembly line.

The rebranding of Warehouse Computers to the PC Company is happening over the next few weeks.

Could it be why Colin Browne was keen to get as many customer names as possible from his mail out !! or am I being a cynic.

247495 2004-06-25 03:32:00 They should be closed down for good and the guy should take a hint.

PC Company computers were the worst computers you could buy a few years ago.

Why anyone would want to buy PC Company assets is beyond me, I'd rather set up a big bonfire and watch it all burn. Yes, burn to the pit of hell where it belongs.

247496 2004-06-25 03:40:00 Do 'Warehouse Computers' regard a name change to the 'PC Company' as a step up for their image ? Mind boggling. Any bets on how long they'll last this time?

247499 2004-06-25 04:22:00 Nothing wrong with ecs boards as long as you buy the ones with the good chipsets, they are certainly the best of the budget boards. metla (154)
247500 2004-06-25 04:33:00 Same for the a-data v-data ram. I've used and seen heaps of these in PC's and never had a problem with them.
Might not be the fastest or best for overclocking but for ordinary users they are fine.

247502 2004-06-25 05:05:00 I think it has more to do with how the pc company used and handled the gear, there are few people i would trust to build me a pc....and i can garentee none of them have ever worked at the pc company. metla (154)
