247597 2004-06-25 22:01:00 Last week I got a virus that disabled ALL my antivirus/firewall etc...me who is obsessive about antivirus...anyway it got in and totally screwed Nortons, ZoneAlarm etc. I have that working now, but when I go to defrag I get an error message saying

"Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume: (C:).
Please run Chkdsk /f."

Anyone know what is going on here?

Thanks Pip

247599 2004-06-25 22:27:00 I had a look around the web and it looks like you are not alone.

Here (69.93.248.139) is a thread from another discussion forum, and
Here (www.softwaretipsandtricks.com) is another.

The second one has a good solution if you are running XP.
