1364957 2014-01-11 22:03:00 Sigh, the spammers are at it again, luckily only one email as usual cause not many people email me.
How many has everyone else had come through?

1364958 2014-01-12 02:52:00 Yup wife has had at least half a dozen so far today.

I've just registered a domain name, gotmail.co.nz, and I'm going to offer it to anyone for free who wants to create another email address to try and move people away from xtra & yahoo! :D
It will be hosted using Outlook.com.

1364959 2014-01-12 06:22:00 Get a few now and then into my junk mail but not huge amounts. There are two that persist in getting through to my inbox ... this is one of them chris@freebiefox.co.nz and I'll post the other one when it arrives :D SP8's (9836)

CYaBro, isn't the damage already done with the wide redistribution of xtra-based email addresses? i.e. The spammers just re-use what they've already got?

part of the problem is Telecom & Yahoo arnt saying much at all about it : "investigating"
We are all left to guess whats going on , as per usual. You would think Telecoms Network Status page would be more up to date than the web pages reporting on these issues......but no :-(

Yahoo's issues just keep on coming
a goodie
"Some users visiting Yahoo.com are redirected to sites armed with code that exploits vulnerabilities in Java and installs a variety of different malware."
news.cnet.com

"As Yahoo makes encryption standard for email, weak implementation seen"
"While this is a great step, the company's HTTPS implementation appears to be inconsistent across servers and even technically insecure in some cases"

Why?
Idiots can do that all by themselves - just use gmail or whatever....but they don't care.

But they may want a .co.nz address. :D

Anyone interested send me a PM, it's all configured and ready to go.
