1344698 2013-06-04 08:25:00 Hi all,

I will be popping over to Christchurch for a visit in early October. Just wondering if anyone is keen for a meet-up? Looking at around the 5th of October.

Cheers :)

1344700 2013-06-04 09:32:00 Possibly.....October is a long way away :p Nick G (16709)
1344701 2013-06-04 09:37:00 I would be interested depending on where the meet up is in Chch.

May I suggest a McDonalds as they have wifi although most don't seem to be working here, alternatively South Christchurch Library has a really nice cafe, The Red Cafe, and they also have free wifi which does work.

On the bus run down Colombo Street, the main drag really.

1344702 2013-06-04 10:55:00 That's way too far away. I've been down here in Chch for a while but sadly back in Hawkes Bay soon. Greg (193)
1344703 2013-06-04 11:35:00 Confirmed:

I will be in ChCh from the 4th of October til the 6th of October. The reason why I am visiting Christchurch is because I have got a wedding to attend on the 5th of October (Saturday). I would be quite keen for meetup on Friday (4th of October) for lunch or dinner AND / OR breakfast or lunch on Sunday (6th of October).

Wouldn't mind a tour guide too! I have not been to South Island before :o

1344704 2013-06-04 12:12:00 Make sure you get someone to drive you or take a bus tour to experience the views from the Summit Drive, other than that, not much to see.

The inner City has been trashed by the earthquakes a big mess.

I would like to take you around but unfortunately zero disposable dollars at the moment.
