| 1344201 | 2013-05-30 10:43:00 | Y'know, this forum coulda made a decent return if the advertising was done right. If the Powers came up with an idea like, say each member was given a choice from a couple of dozen advertisers - that advert would be in the form of a thumbnail included in the member's post. It would give the member a bit of say in what the others see, and would to a small extent express their own preferences. The more of a certain category of product or service each member chose, the more other businesses of that type would be inclined to advertise. A scale could be set so that each members' post count, as it increased, the fewer adverts he/she would have to include in their posts, until it reached a level of "seniority" where no adverts would be included in their posts at all. Just rambling. |
