1364730 2014-01-10 22:52:00 you can just put your Microsoft Account into the Store, you don't need to use it to login to the PC to do this
Not from my experience you cant, if you want to install something from the store and the PC is on a local account, you have to sign / switch to MS first, you enter your registered email, ( exception is upgrading to W 8.1)

MS send you a code to the address you registered with

Once you enter the code, it confirms it and lets you do what you were wanting to do,Then when you next reboot /start your PC it has switched to that account and you need to enter in your password, then you can go in and change it back to a local account as before. This PC for example simply boots into windows, you dont need to sign in when starting.
