| 247981 | 2004-06-27 10:55:00 | I recently got some Sony CDRs claiming to be 48X but I could only get 32X with my 52X CD Writer. Could it be compatibilitdy problem or something else? Cheers |

In a perfect world, with a well set up computer and with a fully compatible writer, you might see 48x with a following wind. Then again, you might not. It is probably compatability issues but if you can't improve it I'd settle for 32x, it is not too bad. You might find useful information Here (www.cdmediaworld.com) Cheers Billy 8-{) |

I had a drive that was insisting it was burning at 120x,fearing injury i stood as far away as possibe....lmao,after using speedtest it gave a reading of 32x and nero assigened that as the maximum allowed speed for that drive. I also have a 52x burner,it has a button you press that ramps it up to 52x while the burn is taking place....This is the height of stupidity for so many reasons..... |
