| 247866 | 2004-06-27 05:38:00 | Over the past few days my reported download speed has ranged between 3400Mbps and the present 192kbps. This is a huge variation, and I can't find a reason for it at my end! Upload stays constant at 640kbps. I am using a Dynalink ADSL modem, and all settings seem correct. Is anybody else getting this sort of problem? Richard |

Sometimes the speed changes for the better while the ISP is configuring, testing or upgrading something at their end, you take it while you can get it. If yours is slower than expected then it may pay to call the help desk or check the ISP's website to see if there are any current issues that could be affecting the speed. Cheer Murray P |

| 247869 | 2004-07-08 01:55:00 | When using adsl modems they are basically either working or faulty. I have very rarely seen a modem that is working but has something wrong with it ie. being slow. The modem doesn't actually control the speed that all comes from the isp. As the other guys have said it would be more likely to be poor line conditions etc. |
