I would like to find and save the drivers for all the devices on some systems. I have three sustems running and I use two OS's, Windows 98 SE and Windows 2000. Every once in a while I have ocasion to format and re-instal an OS, and when I do, it takes some time to find and re-instal all the drivers. I'd like to have a set of all my drivers on a CD. I have a Sony CD-RW, so if I could find them, maybe I could burn them. But I realy don't know just where the actual device drivers reside. Or is this too simple? Like when you instal a driver into a system, does it make several entries in different places, like when you instal a game and it makes entries in the registry as well as the program files? |

seeing as most drivers come with other utilities pakaged with them it would simply be better to save the actuall driver download rather than just the driver. |
