248297 2004-06-29 05:49:00 A friend of mine is trying to create an interactive yearbook for a school he works at. They saw a CD produced by another school, which contained multimedia enhancements such as pictures, videos etc. in a well designed viewer program.

The particualr product used to produce that CD was Josten's 'Yearbook Interactive" software (http://www.yearbookinteractive.com), however by my understanding although it gives you the software free, you must send the finished product to them to produce.

Does anyone know of a free program which will allow a group of students and teachers to easily create a multimedia-rich CDROM for their school yearbook?

248300 2004-07-01 08:10:00 How about using the presentation program in Openoffice.org 1.11 to create a shockwave file.

Or use the Openoffice.org (or any free) HTML editor to create a 'Yearbook website on a cd' along the lines of the CD that comes with the PC World magazine.

I'm sure you have access to some aspiring web designers...
