| 248295 | 2004-06-29 05:24:00 | In these dangerous days I would like to install ZoneAlarm. But my personal+home notebook is also my desktop when I am on the LAN at work. My departmental technician looked askance when I suggested this. Can anyone tell me what happens or what must be done to meet my goal without clobbering my access on the office LAN? |

Run ZoneAlarm then click on Firewall Select the ZONE tab Click on ADD -> IP RANGE Select "Trusted" zone Put in the Starting IP Address and the Ending IP Address Give it a name OK you've now marked the above IP range as a trusted zone. My trusted Office and WAN zone for example 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255 Post here again if you need further assistance. Cheers Stan |
