| 248375 | 2004-06-30 02:37:00 | Running XP Home plus same joystick, the only way I found was to plug a USB extension cord from the USB port to near the joystick (do not plug in the joystick), boot your computer then plug in the joystick. After you shut down unplug the joystick. Seems illogical but if left plugged in the joystick refused to work at the next reboot. Not to put a damper on things but grandson has same computer setup, purchased same joystick that refused to work, it worked perfectly in the shop and on my computer. On his computer tried uninstalling then reinstalling using my CD and joystick but that refused to work. As suggested above there must be a driver or something in Windows that stuffs things up. |

| 248378 | 2004-07-01 00:49:00 | Did you get a User's Guide and CD with the joystick?. Just looked at mine it suggests you look at the User's Guide on the CD and visit www.microsoft.com It also advises that to install Sidewinder software on Win XP Pro you must log onto a user account that is a member of the Administrators group. For more info see Windows help. |
