| 248645 | 2004-06-30 11:36:00 | Hi, I've just setup a wireless b ad-hoc (peer2peer) between my pc and laptop. I got 128 adsl connection on the main computer (internal). Although signal strength and quality constantly shows 70-100% at 11mbps, the performance is amazingly sluggish, i'm talking about more than 30 sec when loading pressf1.co.nz (from laptop) or browsing shared files. I also noticed that the Wireless Network Connection graph in task manager shows no or little activity even though there are lots of data request. Distance between them is about 1m apart, the laptop is literally sitting on top of it. Disabling wep, authentication, or changing channels makes no difference. Both computers are reasonably fast (barton 2.5 & p4 1.8m). Any help would be appreciated! |
