248352 2004-06-29 06:25:00 Anybody here tried or currently using MovieShack (www.movieshack.co.nz)?

Any comments please.

It sounds like a pretty good deal.

248353 2004-06-29 07:39:00 Pretty good if you can't get to a video shop, or cant be brassed wandering through the isles. I love on-line catalogues.
$40 + p&p is pretty steep though, unless you watched lots of movies.
A great concept though.

248354 2004-06-29 07:47:00 They don't have "I brought a Vampire Mortotcycle" either.
Or "Vacuuming Completely Nude in Paradise".
Bummer.
The last one is not dodgy at all, but a black comedy I am led to believe.

248355 2004-06-29 07:55:00 All fees and charges are non refundable. Movieshack may change the fees and charges in effect, or add new fees and charges from time to time by giving you advance notice of these changes by email

You will still be liable to pay Movieshack the cost of any damaged DVDs returned to Movieshack and for any non returned DVDs and you authorize Movieshack to debit your payment method with such costs and you agree that you will not seek to deny Movieshack such recovery.

Movieshack reserves the right to change these Terms of Use at any time by posting new terms of use on its website. Any change shall take effect 14 days after the change is first posted on the website. You will be deemed to have accepted such new Terms of Use if you use the Movieshack website or Movieshack services after such changes take effect.

I guess this is pretty standard, but basically they could own you if they got nasty or you were a bit slow with them.
POssibly a bit dodgy with the ability to change the rules online without you possibly knowing about it.

WHoops, P&P inc!
This makes it quite a bit cheaper.
If they had the movies you wanted, it could be really good.
*am I allowd more that one opinion about the same post? Even my own?*

Well not normally George,..but seeing as you sound like a nice friendly sort of guy,a small donation($20+minimum),to the good Captains shipwrecked fund (post your address here, and he will contact you),
and I'm quite sure we can overlook your minor indescrepency this time.

248357 2004-06-29 09:11:00 Also have a look at DVD Unlimited (http://www.dvdunlimited.co.nz) they are slightly cheaper than Movie Shack. Sb0h (3744)
248358 2004-06-30 00:54:00 we joined up with DVDunltd $35 a month including all P&P. Service is ultra fast wiht heaps of selection...no I don't work for them, just impressed so far...
you get 3 DVDs sent, when you are finished with them (in a day a week - whatever) then you send them back and they send 3 more.

248361 2004-07-01 10:43:00 Will $20 to the 'Battersea Dogs Home' suffice? Curious George (3535)
