I've a Knoppix CD here and want to use it, but my PackardBell boots from the FDD
How do I change it to boot from the CD?
Pleeeeeeeeese !

249041 2004-07-01 11:32:00 Go into your BIOS, and change the device boot sequence to include the CD drive before the HDD, save and exit. That's it.

Nah, just showing how little I really know

BTW, I wish I hadn't tried out Knoppix LOL, its given me a very, very nice taste of a computer without Windows.

249048 2004-07-01 22:26:00 Try Mepis Baldy. You can get it from one of the mirrors listed at www.mepis.org if your keen. Check out the forums or news as there was a dodgy mirror last time I looked or use Bittorrent to download, you can try out the free version and upgrade it to your hearts content if you want. It's a live CD but does a better job of installing to your HDD than Knoppix IMO.
