How do I correct this problem?

249018 2004-07-01 13:36:00 Looks like it has something to do with the virus 'downloader.slime' which detected by NAV and AVG but both cannot remove it. When I 'quarantine' the Rundll32.exe , windows has problem with executing most files.

How shall I go about?

249019 2004-07-01 13:45:00 Copy & Paste from the above MS link, should do the trick or repair windows by booting to the CD and go to the repair console.

CAUSE
This issue occurs because of a missing or corrupted Rundll32.exe file. This issue may also be caused by a virus.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1. Put the Windows XP CD ROM disk in the CD ROM drive.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type expand X:\i386\rundll32.ex_ c:\windows\rundll32.exe in the Open box, where X is the letter of your CD ROM Drive.
4. Restart the computer.

I did that but it didn't work.

Also, I tried to repair Windows but it asked for a administrator password which nobody has.

Any suggestions, please.
