248907 2004-07-01 07:07:00 After I had recently been on the internet, a flashing box appeared on my desktop and remains there no matter what I do on my computer. Getting Properties on the box (Right mouse click, Properties....), it says that it is an HTML document. How do I get rid of it? I've tried doing a system restore but my computer won't complete it. Editing the file then trying to close it comes up with a window with a directory and a file name, but doing a search doesn't find anything. It is very irritating, can anyone help me? av4tarnz (5829)

248912 2004-07-07 02:15:00 The Spybot link doesn't work, try this one [url=http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html]Spybot{/url]

And when you get to the adaware site, lefthand side, click on adaware, (not the plus or professional versions, they are not free)

248914 2004-07-07 02:55:00 The Spyware FAQ on this forum has more info on spyware/adware if you wish to take a look. Link to FAQs top right of this page. Note that they take a while to load so do be patient. Susan B (19)
