248901 2004-07-01 11:02:00 oh sorry, i think memmaker stuck the EMM386.exe in agent_24 (4330)
248902 2004-07-01 12:15:00 Goodness gracious.

So what does the config.sys file look like now then?

248903 2004-07-01 13:10:00 Your config.sys file should load c:\windows\himem.sys
followed by c:\windows\emm386.exe
followed by dos=high
followed by setver command.

The first two commands should be right at the start of config.sys
The netstart command you have is running first and it appears you are using a mixture of himem.sys and emm386.exe from both C:\DOS and C:\Windows

NETSTART will not have enough memory if you load it before the memory drivers.

I think I may be on the right track here.

You also may need a command switch or two in EMM386 or HIMEM.SYS

Machine XX comes to mind.

May be better as

COUNTRY=064,437,C:\DOS\COUNTRY.SYS

(Although it is not an essential line)

>STACKS= 9,256

Change to -

STACKS=0,0

(Saves a little memory)
