Perhaps those with that DSL-500 might have some tips for getting them working? Like any particular settings to work with Xtra and Jetstream?

I find it particularly hard to believe that 2 brand new D-Link routers performed so poorly. We must have jinxed them or something ;)

249073 2004-07-02 04:21:00 I just followed the instructions that came with the DSL-500
Nothing special to get it going. Just selected the predefined NZ profile which sets all the correct settings for Jetstream then just put in you login name and password and hit connect.
Since then I've used the firewall in it to do some port forwarding etc and it works perfectly!

249074 2004-07-02 04:30:00 Really weird. I also notice that the DSL-500 is no longer supported by D-Link, which begs the question, why are they still selling it? KingWave (5517)
249075 2004-07-02 04:58:00 Most likely Retail shops and their suppliers will still have plenty of them to sell. CYaBro (73)
249076 2004-07-02 05:34:00 The DSL500 has a built in firewall? Got one at work - can't find any firewall options there. falvrez (390)
249077 2004-07-02 05:50:00 In the web interface under Configuration there is a Menu which says 'Advanced Filtering and Firewall' CYaBro (73)

When I was at English Electric we built a high speed bearing test rig using an industrial 20HP 30,000 rpm router :)
This was set up in a test cell that had been used by Frank Whittle for jet engine testing during the 1940s.

We used it among other things for testing Concord components.
