| 249002 | 2004-07-01 11:07:00 | I had an LT Win modem installed that started playing up so I have now installed a Conexant Generic SoftK 56 PCI modem. It took ages to get the drivers to install and for the thing to run. It is now working and dialing up ok. The thing is I can't hear the dialling or the handshaking like I could with the LT Win. Is this normal or is there still something amiss? Also, in the set up I was asked if I wanted to have a predial terminal window enabled. Foolishly I ticked yes. Now I want to remove that pop up window but can't find anyway to remove it. Any ideas greatfully received. My system is Pentium2 350 running Win 98 |
