| 248793 | 2004-07-01 03:11:00 | In the interests of safety from dialers, I would like to be able to disable the win modem. I have Jetstream (router has a switch) but use the modem for fax and phone dialer. I can <windows><pause> for the system dialogue, select hardware manager and disable it, but this is slow. I can pull the cable out, if I can get at it :-) Does anyone know of a simple & convenient way of disabling the modem? A shortcut would be fine. The OS is XP Prof. |

| 248794 | 2004-07-01 04:17:00 | Why not just run Regular scans with Spybot Search & Destroy, and stay away from the sort of websites that will try and infect your PC with Diallers, namely pr0n and warez websites and you shouldnt have any issues. Chill. |
