2004-07-03 01:34:00 | Hello folks. Just a small problem I hope. I have asked a similar question way back but did not resolve it entirely. On the XP it is possible to go to MY Music, select a stored music CD, select "que it up" & play the lot thro Media 9. This is not available on W98, Yes? I cannot find it. W98/Media9 will only play single tracks. So, on the XP I can select "Auto play" in the CD player properties & can play a music disc from there. So how can I make the W98 cd player run Auto play? To be able to play any music disc inserted? Thanks for any help PJ

You can make up play lists or set it to random choice. The two programmes seem quite compatible to me? You do have to set things from WMP9 not windows though. |

2004-07-03 10:15:00 | Ummmm, Houston, we have a problem! John, when I put a CD in, WMP9 opens automatically and plays that CD. If you want it to play in order, just turn the shuttle off, thats the up and down arrows at the end of the volume control. As far as I know, this is the default setting, there is nothing to set up. I wonder whether uninstalling WM9 and reinstalling might do the trick? If youre sitting with just a desktop and put in an audio CD what happens? Cheers Bob

2004-07-03 10:39:00 | Thats half the problem solved. How about the XP My Music paragraph bit? The W98 does not have a dedicated "My Music" file I assume it is possible to create one? Then I can see if 98 will do the same as the XP. PJ | Poppa John (284) | |
2004-07-03 13:46:00 | Poppa, Click open WMP9 > Click Media Library (halfway down side of player) > then +Add (its in flouro green along the top) From there, a drop-down menu will open > click "By Searching Computer" You can add your MyMusic folder to WMP9
