249182 2004-07-02 23:58:00 Brandybottle: you were given several options to try and it isn't clear which of those options did the trick. :-)

I was just wondering whether it was cleaning out your temporary files that fixed it, or whether you did something to system restore. Either of those options would only be temporary - your hard drive will soon "fill up" again with more files until the files are cleared next time.

Anyway, it is good to know that you had your problem solved. :-)

249183 2004-07-03 01:51:00 Sorry for the confusion. I just unticked the restore box.
As far as I can see this has fixed it, as the 'pie' in the 'My computer' has not grown in size (as yet). I reckon this was the answer to the 'pie' filling mystery.

Again thanks to all who helped
Kind regards.

249184 2004-07-03 03:52:00 The System Restore facility in ME is said to use "only" 12% of the disk. :D And it doesn't work. :-(

Microsoft include a fixed version on the free "Security" CD.

249186 2004-07-04 02:41:00 > When I go to my computer properties I see the 'Pie' filling up with out me downloading or adding a new programme. I few months ago I down loaded a programme that reduced my 'space' on the properties 'pie' considerably. Why is it filling up on its own accord. Not that it makes any differance to the speed etc. I keep scanning and defranging frequently to keep it running "bang on" I can't remember the name of the programme I down loaded except that is was a 'cleaner type' that deleted all unused files and registry stuff. Any Ideas? It was a trial one that did not 'go' after 30 days. It is quietly filling my pie up again?

You must learn to hide the pie in the fridge from now on.
