| 250002 | 2004-07-05 10:36:00 | Hi I am running an Audigy 2NX external (USB2) soundcard on a P4 1.6GHz with 768MB RAM and Win XP Pro. I have 2 other connections running off USB -- a remote control and some lights and have plenty of USB ports available. My motherboard is a PC Chips M952. I am frequently experiencing the sound breaking up when playing back MP3 or WAV files from my hard drive and its even worse if I'm trying to play direct from a CD in my CDRW-DVD Rom drive. Suspected that it may be a DMA related issue but when I went into Device Manager to check if DMA operating I couldn't seem to find that information anywhere. Do I need a BIOS update? Is it a USB connection issue? Any other suggestions? |
