249836 2004-07-04 23:44:00 Hi
Does anyone know how to uninstall RH9 if its installed on a seperate harddisk and dual boot up with winxp.

249837 2004-07-04 23:58:00 The easiest way is to boot a Win98 Boot Disk and run:
fdisk /mbr

You can then use fdisk to erase the "Non-DOS" partitions on this second HDD of yours and re-create a FAT32 partition.

Check the FAQ on Partitioning if you get stuck.

Cheers

249838 2004-07-05 03:52:00 That might be easiest, but would it work? I'd be inclined to use the XP repair to replace the boot stuff. :D Graham L (2)
249839 2004-07-05 04:46:00 Ive never used the FIXBOOT and FIXMBR stuff in WinXP.

Should do the job though ;-)

249840 2004-07-05 08:51:00 I am about to do much the same... but my HDD was new when I installed RH9, its the only thing on the drive. Will the boot disk and format work on a single partitioned drive?

Thanks Dave
