| 249820 | 2004-07-04 12:17:00 | Dear Folks A friend has an XP Pro machine that had been set up as part of a network. Now, he wants to run it standalone - I know you can get rid of the login, etc in the Home edition but can you do it in Pro and, if so, how? Thanks |

| 249821 | 2004-07-04 12:26:00 | Hi Start-Run-control userpasswords2 This will bring up a menu, where you can untick "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" Once unticked, press apply, it will prompt you for the default login to use. Select the one from the list of users and finish. The next time you start, it will login automatically with the selected user. Hope this helps |
