| 249689 | 2004-07-04 05:07:00 | On my old HP Pavilion machine, during the booting up , pops up this message: "Windows Script Host Cannot find script file "C:\windows\temp\net\net.js" Click OK will complete the boot up, though. Any idea how to correct this problem? Cheers |

| 249695 | 2004-07-04 07:02:00 | I believe the problem is caused by Windows ME shutting down before all files have been cached to the HDD. The system has a reference to the net.js javascript file, but the file was not actually created before the system shut down. A known bug that would probably have had a fix available at the time. Windows ME certainly could shut down quickly, from memory it was as quick as 6 seconds when I ran it here. Not surprising I guess, that some buffers were not written out in time. |
