2004-07-04 04:08:00 | as most know i use Mozilla Firebird. well it had a encountered prob must shut this morn, i didnt think much of it being on the lemon that i was and am using at mo. also had same / similar probs while trying to save some pics to a cd. and now with paint and IE? cannot open paint at all. any suggestions? have run adaware, avg and spybot shortly, nothing untoward. time delay occasionaly in typing of words noticed or progs opening again. and windows resizing themselves when opened, any ideas where and what i may be looking for would greatly be acepted at mo. keeps going back to empty desktop when these things happen, no icons, no tray showing and no mouse either. it is running like it is so busy doing everything when nothing shows up extra in task manager either. its like the cpu is going hundred miles an hour nowhere, doing nothing.??? component prob or virus? but i do have a suspision that it had a power fluctuation the other day so it rebooted itself while i was out of room..... this wont help it . been nearly a year since this happened last time. need to find that money tree to replace it with new one. :( beetle

2004-07-04 04:40:00 | Round n round the merry-go-round we go. How many times do you get computer problems which "adaware, avg and spybot" don't fix? I can't quite understand your problem to help you sorry. It's written in a language I can't understand, pig latin perhaps? Punctuation!

2004-07-04 05:35:00 | If you cant help beetle acorn (or aroc or caro or stevie ray, or any of the other pseudonyms you and/or your ilk have used) don't bother answering, least of all to insult beetle, who has done nothing to offend you. PF1 doesn't need this kind of mean, mindlessly destructive behaviour, no matter how clever you think you are, or how good it makes you feel to come here and make smart-arsed comments. Go away, please, before you suffer the fate as the rest of your unfortunate alter-egos. Billy

2004-07-04 06:23:00 | Hi Beetle :) >time delay occasionaly in typing of words noticed or progs opening again. Sounds like a background program/service is keeping the CPU busy. Have you taken a look at the startup list to make sure there are no new entries? Also, right-click on the taskbar and select Task manager. See what your CPU and Memory are up to when this happens. If you have your AVG running a schedule deep scan, this will also cause a general slow down of the system.

2004-07-04 12:07:00 | > its telling me 27 processors are > happening????????????? 27 processes happening is not really unusual. > when click on taskmanager it is way up high and > suddenlly drops to very little, say from 78 to 4? > > going to have a look at start up etc. > going to delve a little deeper. Use start/ run/ msconfig and click on the start services. Now quite a few are very important so don't stop everything. Use Google and type in "blackviper" to understand what's happening and what services can be safely disabled. I just used CNTRL ALT DEL to bring up task manager and there were 32 processes running. I very recently like three days ago reformatted and re-installed everything I needed. I would give you the URL for blackviper but don't want to lose this post. You know my Email address and I will research for you if you want me to. > thanxs Jen > > and agent 24 thats what i was wondering to. > > beetle

It would appear to me you don't have enough brain to work and earn enough to buy your own computer yet. Time will tell though and eventually you just may grow up. We will hope so anyway. |
