250238 2004-07-06 08:28:00 when my comp boots up i would like to be able to read all the pages of inf. that flash briefly across the screen. is there a key stroke combination that will let me pause these so i can read them?or can i access these from dos?and if so how?thanks heaps, im glad this place is here!you all ROCK! cb_rags (5848)
250239 2004-07-06 08:40:00 Try pressing the Pause key quickly. You might need to try it several times before it pauses at the right spot.

Not sure what version of Windows you are using but this will allow you to see what is happening during bootup with Windows 98:

Restart your computer, press and hold down the CTRL key until the Windows 98 Startup menu appears, and then choose Step-By-Step Confirmation.

You should probably press 'Y' at each prompt to load the drivers, etc, but you will be able to see any messages as they load.
