250292 2004-07-06 11:20:00 recently had to flash my bios (Via KX600 chip running Award V6.00 bios) to fix up sound problems. It worked, but has messed up graphics displays, despite the latest drivers. The boot screen & the windows XP splash screen are all way off center (to the right). Whilst this is not too much of a problem, some software apps have also all shifted to the right, leaving text & stuff missing from setup options on printers etc.
My question, can a bios be safely flashed backwards to the original? (the website has the earlier version).

250294 2004-07-06 11:27:00 well i have done it myself without any apparent problems -
so i dont see why not.

you may need to go into the bios setup and reset to defaults as you may get a checksum error.

either way - it should work as long as you do it right.

Set it back to normal (centre) by using the controls on the monitor? :O
