250012 2004-07-05 11:27:00 You need to have an audio cable running from the audio out port of your tv card into the audio-in port on your sound card.

If you alrady have that set up corectly then ensure that port isn't muted, you may need to look under the advanced setting's of your volume control to see it.

On the TV2000 XP sound can be connected to the AUX in connector that audio cable from the CD drive normally connects to.

Are you using a good quality correctly installed outside antenna?

The TV cards are even fussier that a TV regarding signal, they need a good signal level from an antenna system correctly installed.

The internal case of a computer is not a conducive environment for TV signals, an average PC produces a large level of interference, so it needs a good signal to overcome that.

Also do not expect to get a picture as good or better than a TV can give.

250018 2004-07-12 07:36:00 I think your first step should always be to check you drivers.

Do you have another input method (IE VCR, Camera) that you can check the sound with?

250019 2004-07-14 12:48:00 Raeburn, I also have a WinFast TV card - just got the new 'puter a few days ago. Glad to know someone else did not have sound. It stumped me for a couple of days and then I had the bright idea of reading the instruction booklet :D and saw that the outside cable needed to be connected. - it should have been included with your new PC and when XP detects the connection you need to choose "CD Player or like device" (or words to that effect).

As far as picture quality, you need a very good antenna (on the roof) or cable connection (Sky TV).
