| 250643 | 2004-07-08 04:34:00 | If you are wanting a smaller download, then I would recommend Firefox rather than Mozilla. Mozilla also has a built-in email suite which bulks it out somewhat. Mozilla Firefox is a standalone browser. Mozilla Firefox (www.mozilla.org) Although, either of these two browsers are often included on Computer magazine cover discs (including the NZ PC World discs) so have a look there first. Keep in mind the ones on the disc might be an older version. Firefox is up to ver 0.91 and Mozilla is ver 1.7. |

| 250644 | 2004-07-08 06:05:00 | Opera (http://www.opera.com/) is even smaller than Firefox if you download the non-Java version - just 3.4MB. If you have Sun Java already installed you won't need the the Java version and once you do have it you don't need to download the larger version again (until Java gets updated). ;-) | Fire-and-Ice (3910) | ||

| 250646 | 2004-07-08 07:10:00 | I've tried many other browsers, and I personally don't find them to be my cup of tea. Now I use MyIE2 (http://www.myie2.com). Note it still uses the main code from IE, so it isn't completly immune to IE specific worms, but it is faster, and that's what matters ;) MM |

Opera is superfast aswell, but Firefox has better skins and I am posting from it right now. there is no waiting around while you click a link and IE does nothing for a few seconds (it matters on dial-up) | fus1_n (3818) | ||
