250619 2004-07-08 03:30:00 Hi.
I went to install adobe acrobat on my pc after doing a fresh install of windows, and it says that I have to install a service pack before i can install it. Im on dial up so its a little bit inconvenient to download one of microsofts bloated service packs just so i can read a pdf file.
So the question is.............Does anyone know of an alternative to acrobat? Im not looking for a pdf editor, I just want to be able to read the files (and yes I tried google ;) )

250620 2004-07-08 03:37:00 You could just use and older version of adobe acrobat of an old PC WORLD Plus! CD. it still does the same job :-) fus1_n (3818)
250621 2004-07-08 04:04:00 What service pack does it need... I think the win2k sp2 is the only pack that doesn't have the "You accept to give Microsoft and any designated agents explicit access to your computer" clause in the EULA...

But I don't think I've got that one... so, this post was a waste of time...

250622 2004-07-08 04:10:00 Thanks,
I didn't even think of that.
My PCW archives dont go back that far, but whil fishing around I found a *cough*net guide*cough* cd from 2002, that did the trick.
Cheers
