Seems very over-priced

Antec's arent cheap but they're some of the best cases on the market, plus they come with what is arguably the best PSU on the market. They are also a large case with lots of room for expansion, aswell as being very very quiet. They use two low speed 120mm fans to push the same amount of air as high speed 80mm's. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, a very high quality case and powersupply. Of that price i'd expect the PSU to make up atleast $100.

Who doesnt love working in cramped confinded spaces with sharp edges? Who does love upgrading a PC with a grossly inadequate PSU and proprietary parts that make upgrades time consuming and expensive?

Extreme sarcasm i might mention

250604 2004-07-09 05:38:00 Pete, you don't know how many people have got zapped by antec PSUs on the Overclockers forum. Go thermaltake or Lian-Li fus1_n (3818)
250605 2004-07-09 06:10:00 Personally I like those little HP cases where you have to first remove the sides and top of the case, then remove the panel that the motherboard is attached to, which hinges on clips at the back of the case, thus creating an opening of about 2.5 inches where you get to blindly start yanking cables out in order to remove the panel (with motherboard attached), then and only then its possible to insert the stick of ram, Then jam the entire assembly back into position, again insert fingers through small gap and start reattaching cables, This of course is 42 billion times trickier then unplugging them, once this miracle of functional design is worked around its time to apply force in 19 different directions to ensure the case is assembled, where upon one commences to screw her back together while marveling at the brilliance required to redesign the humble case to be 4 inches smaller overall, sure it was at the expense of airflow, logic or common sense but think of the advantages.

Nice dinky little psu in there as well, go very well with the jumble of wires and big plastic clips holding the cd and floppy drive, not to mention the hard drive mounted directly flat over the air intake ensuring even air could circulate around the flotsam contained within, it would have no way of getting in anyway.

OCNZ? Lian Lian dont male PSU's. I've got a thermaltake PSU it ant that great, good value for money though. Enermex make a good PSU aswell. I've been hanging out at OCNZ of ages and i cant remember people being stung by Antec all i can remember is people raving about them.

250607 2004-07-10 11:56:00 I have a theory that those particularly dinky hp cases are assembled around a stick of ram. Much the same way as many japanese cars are around assembled around the stereo.
Those particularly cases that metla mentions are really evil, you open it up (suck breath in dismay) and can see a hint of ram buried under drive cables and drive cage, just enough to think that maybe you can not only perform contortions to get to it but do it blind as well. I never have managed it. Any case that needs the p/s, cards and the mobo partially removed to insert a stick of ram ranks high in the all time worst list way above pc company cases.

Which reminds me, walking through Hamilton Friday and lo and behold I come across a PC Company sale !
Couldn't resist walking in and having a look and I have never seen such a collection of filthy, poorly presented, slackly assembled group of pc company machines in one place. It looked like where PC company machines went to die but they were actually selling them.
