| 250418 | 2004-07-07 06:52:00 | I run win 98 2nd ed. & have moved from I.E. to Opera. Can I make this my default for all web sites? as sometimes when I click on to a site via Opera, I.E. clicks in and wants to take over. Can I set my PC so that only Opera will access site and if so, how? | Kenny (1287) | ||

Alt+P to get Preferences>Default browser - put a tick in there alongside "Check if Opera is default browser" then go to IE Tools>Options>Programs and put a tick in "Internet Explorer should check to see if it is the default browser" . Close both browsers and reopen IE again . It should ask you if you want it to be the default browser - tell it no and not to ask you again . Hopefully it will finally get the message . ;-) |
