2004-07-09 09:13:00 | Try This (www.magicaljellybean.com), the quote below is direct from the author's website: The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry. It has the options to copy the key to clipboard, save it to a text file, or print it for safekeeping. It works on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Office 97, and Office XP. This version is a quick update to make it work with Windows Server 2003. Cheers Billy 8-{) :) Source: The Langa List

2004-07-09 10:27:00 | Puzzle - it did not produce the correct key for my 98SE, which I am looking at. Is it a keygen only ?? | TonyF (246) | |
2004-07-09 10:35:00 | no its not an illegal keygen. it simply shows what key is stored in the registry. aida/everest and a few others also do this. mayby your key has been changed ?????

2004-07-09 10:36:00 | Aida does it, and does it well... I bought a PC from trademe, and it had the "lost XP key" as a quote... I thought I'd get the key using Aida and do a reinstall using the same key... no surprises then when it said the key began with "FCKGW" ... Lo.

2004-07-09 10:45:00 | You may also be confusing the Product Key with the Product ID, they are different. Both can be found in the Registry at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion. The key program worked ok for me in XP and Win98SE.

2004-07-09 11:08:00 | Is that the one that follows your cursor around Tony? If so I may be able to find a copy on my computer. I'll wait a while though in case somebody can point you to a download first as I'd have to email mine (if I can find it). Cheers Billy 8-{)
