2004-07-09 06:16:00 | Can someone recommend a 'value for money' reliable Motherboard and video card for my P4 2.8 cpu? I have ASUS P4S800 in mind but still undecided for the video card. Is this ASUS good? Cheers

2004-07-09 06:32:00 | scratch the 9800pro then. All you can get is a 5200,which means very little, might as well grab the asus board with the onboard 9200 and be done with it,.

2004-07-09 06:36:00 | ASUS P4S800D or ASUS P4S800-MX (the ASUS P4S800D seems ok) If you could manage an extra $60 for a ATI Radeon 9600 pro ($220)..... or save money and go for Ge-Force 4 MX 440($80). or geforce fx 5200 ($120)

Unless you don't play games, a FX 5200 or GF4 MX will drastically bottleneck ur CPUs performance. |

2004-07-09 07:06:00 | yeah get that m/b, then when you have enought $$$$ get a good vid-card and shove it into the AGP slot. Who needs more than 3 pci slots? and SATA 150 has even been slower than ATA-133 in some tests - its a waste of time.
