250944 2004-07-09 06:08:00 It seems that Xtra is having some problem with Jetstream recently. The connection keeps dropping fairly frequently. Phoned and checked their network status and confirmed that they are experiencing network problems.

Any Jetstream users experiencing 'outages"?

Cheers

I know Xtra Jet Stream Starter has had problems, as my boss who is on Xtra Jet Stream Starter has had the same thing happen to him

but Xtra Jet surf 256K has been fine :)

I think he is on Jetsurf 256 Flatrate. As usual, when he phoned Xtra, they suggested him to check the line filter, router, etc .. except their own network. When I phoned Xtra to check for the Network Status, they did confirm that they are having problems in "some areas". However, I don't encounter any problems, though.

250951 2004-07-09 07:03:00 According to the Xtra network status hotline (0800 22 55 98, press 2, updated at 5.59pm) there are currently problems with the network in Papakura and Pukekohe and technicians are currently working on the problem. andrew93 (249)
250952 2004-07-09 07:03:00 Judging by the number of emails on the NZ adsl mailing list, it seems to be quite a problem .

250953 2004-07-09 07:19:00 Remember that it may not be Jetstream at all but just Xtra.

My Jetstream connection (with ISP paradise) has not had any problems at all.

Jetstream is the transfer but the place most likely to fail is the ISP.
