250886 2004-07-09 07:16:00 if your from wellington we could try it out first, cause you never know, especially with a Dell. I would rather not buy it then find out it was the wrong type fus1_n (3818)

Try before you buy... sounds a little dodgy. I know it works well and its only a few years old. What else do you need to know? :p

I haven't looked up Tardme to check the 'prices' but I know you can buy it for $133 new, so allow for depreciation, I might want half that + postage.

Make an offer.

250889 2004-07-10 06:44:00 Sorry, I am no longer interested. Mainly because of location. But secondly..... you know it! I brought my Transcend with lifetime warranty for just over $50, yes! ...but that was back a while... ~~~~~ s y ~~~~~ (2054)
250890 2004-07-10 08:26:00 Would the cheep *generic* ram i bought have had a low CAS? eg CL2? not CL3 which is needed? fus1_n (3818)

most likly it will be cas3. however cas2 is better. a cas2 stick can run at the slower speed of cas3. it may be a case of the mobo's ram timings are set in concrete and the ram dosn't like it. simply go try another brand.
