Daughter going to Aussie for 12-18 months . She wants to purchase a fairly basic laptop. Main question should she purchase in NZ or when she gets to Aussie and are there any possible problems when she returns. I intend drafting a guide for her, any comments based on experience would be appreciated. |

I've recently bought an Asus laptop in NZ but wanted to get one in Australia as unlike here, there are more options than just the standard "business" laptops - ie; decent graphics chipsets! Not too sure on problems with Warranties though.....be worth asking whether it would be covered in NZ I guess...Good luck! |

Asus laptops are available in NZ with a multitude of graphics chipsets,the one im posting from has a 9600pro chipset,and ones with more powerful chipsets are available.
Plus ASUS gear comes with a 2 year GLOBAL warrentee. |
