251595 2004-07-11 10:58:00 Ran Spybot (updated) and found AE Convert Operation Monitor (a keylogger) - the problem is, it can't remove it. Its memory resident and upon reboot (as suggested) and rescan which failed.
I decided to try other products:
-try Lavasoft Ad-ware 6, failed
-try Webroot software, it try to remove smart-tags instead (MS Office tool)

Help

Spec:
-WinXP RC2
-Spybot + Adware are updated

251598 2004-07-11 11:40:00 What version of Spybot are you using? Ver 1.3 will remove it. Be carefull removing it as some programmes may no longer work.

251599 2004-07-11 12:13:00 I'm using v1.3 and updated with latest def - It scans my system and did detect but since it memory resident (enbedded within the memory system, I guessing into startup as well), the program reported to scan after restart, which I allow it - which still report the same message (can't remove so need to restart upon scan)

phew

251601 2004-07-11 12:45:00 Try Safe Mode, it might work. Otherwise your into the registry.

251603 2004-07-12 02:10:00 This particular piece of software is Parental Control software more than spyware by design.

Its a 2.7 MB download, and needs to be manually installed.

One needs to ask who installed it, and why.
Before recommending its removal by various means.

251604 2004-07-12 02:16:00 Um... That weird

I have Norton Internet Security Professional 2004 (updated) installed but with Parental Control compontent turn off. That the only piece of software that I have installed that contain such software, otherwise, I have no recollection of a parental control software install.

pls advise
