| 251232 | 2004-07-10 04:57:00 | I have made several unsuccessful attempts at upgrading I E 5 to I E 6, following all the prompts. The operating system is Win ME, I suspect that this is the problem. Am I correct in this ? | Doberman (5862) | ||

Am I correct in this ? no. ie6 works with winME just fine. any reason you are upgradeing IE ?? when you try to upgrade are there any error messages? can you discribe what happens when it fails to upgrade. make sure everything is set back to default, do an IE repair if need be. make sure any spyware/adware/malware are removed from pc. turn off antivirus (don't forget to turn it back on afterwoulds). if all that fails then you may need to break IE out (IE eradicator i think may work with ME) and then install IE6. |
