2004-07-12 01:45:00 | Xtra has a virus quiz ad on their homepage. Here's the direct link xtra.co.nz It consists of several multi-choice answers, but once you get to the end the link to enter your details for the draw doesn't work in Mozilla ... have to use IE - isn't moving away from IE the number one step of keeping yourself safe? Anyway, did it all over again , and duh, ya have to be an Xtra customer to enter. bah! J :D

2004-07-12 02:06:00 | How pathetic! lol I can't view the quiz coz almost all Xtra's pages are blocked by my hosts file (ads.xtra.co.nz) Their web creator, the idiot that he/she is, insists on making the ads location load before the page can be displayed. Duh!!

2004-07-12 03:35:00 | Form works in Opera - only after I had enabled popups though. :D Gotta love some of the answers to choose from in those questions - the laugh I got out of them will last me all week! :^O Oh, and I got 100% too, of course. B-)

2004-07-12 07:06:00 | I got 100% too - maybe every answer is the right one... Anyway: "Why do I need to download Microsoft updates?" Answer: "Because these updates are nothing more than a half-hearted attempt to resurrect Windows from the slimey depths of the secure operating system that it is."

2004-07-12 10:16:00 | As I use the hosts file to block adverts I get nothing. It seems to be that if you want to view some dumb sites it is adverts or nothing. | mikebartnz (21) | |

They gave me a giggle, but then again some say I have a sense of humour :D How can I get infected by an email virus ... by standing too close with someone with the flu What's the best way to check if your PC is infected ... have a doctor check my PC What's the best way to remove worms and viruses ... ask my doctor to remove the infection What's a firewall ... a protective blanket that protects my PC from fire OR a tool firemen use Why is it important to update my Microsoft Windows Computer Software ... so I can brag about having the latest gadget J |
